I've been labeled obsessed but I'd like to think it's more of a passion that I have for Internet Marketing. Unwilling to leave my computer for any significant length of time, paints the picture of my, okay, borderline obsession with it. I have invested, what for some would be considered half of a lifetime, putting the pieces together in an effort to understand it on a deeper level than just "the process".  

Before internet marketing I did a fair amount of writing. Fortunately for me, writing and web marketing are the perfect match, despite the arranged nature of their union. Since web design is another well suited element of marketing, it was another skill I learned in my quest for information. No surprise why most web designers are self taught.

I fell in love with internet marketing after working as a copy editor for a web marketing firm. I created search engine optimized web copy that eventually led to managing my own projects. I had excellent mentors and learned the core principles of internet marketing. 

It wasn't long before I was seeking out information from every corner of the internet trying to put it all together into some logical explanation. As with everything for me, and for many; I must know the reasons behind the actions, otherwise I will tire quickly of the process.  

Thankfully web marketing has a logical purpose for the seemingly tedious actions it proclaims. Understanding that whole picture on a deeper level than just process was an incredible "aha' moment.  I can honestly say now, it all makes perfect sense. I don't find that to be true with very many things.  Sure there is an element of the unexplained too, especially with SEO, but that's the variable in this game that keeps it interesting.
